Our ESG & CSR Policies

Whether you call it ESG (Economic, Social, Governance) or CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), Xenia Venues recognises that it has responsibilities that go beyond legal and regulatory requirements in operating sustainable wedding venues. This document sets out a few of our policies. 

Environmental policy:

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods.

We aim to consistently:

  • Comply with all environmental legislation

  • Increase employee awareness of green issues

  • Commit to continuous improvement through regular reviews and adjustments to our processes

  • Integrate the consideration of environmental impact into our business decisions

  • Minimise energy use and use renewable energy sources where possible

  • Minimise the use of hazardous and toxic substances where possible and dispose of hazardous and toxic substances appropriately 

  • Source ethical, fair trade and local products

  • Consider the impact on the environment when we travel, and encourage customers and suppliers to do the same

  • Commit to re-wilding and tree planting projects at our venues

  • Develop our business in ways that will reduce our customers’ carbon footprint

  • Educate customers and suppliers on making decisions that will leave a positive impact on the environment

Economic policy

We are committed to an economically sustainable business model that creates a positive benefit for stakeholders including charitable partners, suppliers in need, and the local communities in which we operate.

We aim to consistently:

  • Pay fairly for products and services

  • Support suppliers in paying a fair or living wage to their employees 

  • Monitor the positive economic impact that working with Xenia Venues has on employees and small or micro businesses

  • Educate small and micro businesses to help them develop

  • Support the work of our charitable partners

Social policy

We want to be a responsible business that meets the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in order to observe and support community values and promote human rights.

We aim to consistently:

  • Respect the law and ensure that all our business operations are legitimate and ethical

  • Conduct business with integrity and respect to human rights. 

  • Promote anti-bribery and anti-corruption practices

  • Ensure that health and safety of our employees and community are paramount

  • Promote equal opportunities, fair pay and career development within our industry

  • Support diversity and inclusion in every area of our business

  • Track, identify, understand and respond to the needs presented by our diverse workforce

  • Ensure that our activities do not directly or indirectly violate human rights in any country

  • Actively engage with local communities and enhance career opportunities for young and low-skilled workers

  • Be open to suggestions and listen carefully to ideas so that we continuously improve
